Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most prominent character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish and has stated that she is a participant at Passover seders.
