Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. Her past roles included being an presidential candidate as well as hosting a television show on MSNBC. She is also often a contributor to The Huffington Post, a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post, and an earlier co-host on the show The Hill's Rising with Saagar Ejeti. Enjeti and Ball announced their intention to leave the show in May 2021 and begin Breaking Points, a new independent venture that will be hosted by Krystal and Saagar. Ball is co-host of the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared as a guest on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News and programs including Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is currently engaged to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball says that her renewed fascination with politics due to her experience as a mother during the 2008 primaries. In addition, she observed the US presidency election during her time in Jordan. She was able to observe the impact that it had on the citizens of her country and developed an appreciation for the worldwide influence of US politics. She was a senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district in the election of 2010, but lost to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. She was the host of The Cycle on MSNBC from June 2012 until July 2015. She founded the People's House Project, an organization that promotes Democratic causes in May 2017.
